We are looking for a motivated individual who is seeking for development and to become our Assistant Practice Manager to help lead and support our retail team and drive store performance. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and supporting a high-performing team.

You will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, achieve sales targets, and create a positive and engaging customer journey for our patients.

Specsavers Taunton is based at 20 East Street, Taunton, SOmerset TA1 3LP right in the centre of this bustling town between Marks and Spencers and Sainsburys, on the opposite side of the road. With great transport links and a fabulous and welcoming team we can't wait to meet you! 

Our team 

Training provided by a friendly and knowledgeable team with exciting progression opportunities - Cert 3, Cert 4 (BTech equivalents) and Dispensing Optician qualifications are all available for the right candidate!

What’s on Offer? 

  • Salary of £32,000 to £35,000 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing

  • Support the Store Manager in daily store operations
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the team to achieve targets
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure high store standards
  • Assist in driving sales performance and meeting KPIs
  • Lead and guide a strong management team by supporting them to succeed with their areas of the business alongside your own
  • Step in to manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Support recruitment, training, and performance management of staff

 

 

What we’re looking for?

  • Strong communication and team management skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire others

  • Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced multi-category business
