Our store
The Newport (Gwent) Specsavers store is a busy, well-established location at the heart of the community, delivering high-quality optical and audiology services to a diverse customer base. Located on Austin Friars, the store benefits from a central position with excellent public transport links, including Newport train station within easy walking distance and a range of local bus routes serving the city centre, making it highly accessible. Discounted parking is also available nearby, providing additional convenience for those commuting by car. The store features seven well-equipped test rooms, supporting a high standard of clinical care and enabling the team to meet strong customer demand efficiently.
Our team
The team at Newport is experienced, supportive, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care. It brings together a mix of clinical and retail colleagues, including optometrists, dispensing opticians, optical assistants, and support staff, all working collaboratively to provide a seamless customer journey. The store fosters a positive and inclusive culture, where knowledge-sharing and continuous development are actively encouraged. With a strong focus on teamwork and communication, colleagues are empowered to build their skills, take ownership of their roles, and contribute to the overall success of the store while maintaining consistently high standards of service and care.
