As our Optical/Contact Lens Assistant, you’ll make sure that the store’s Contact Lens area runs like clockwork. That means being a great team player and supporting the wider team. You’ll also be responsible for handling orders and dealing directly with customers. Ideally you’ll show people how to insert, remove and care for their lenses, as well as assisting the Contact Lens Optician. For a role such as this, you will need experience in a similar role as a Contact Lens Assistant or Optical Assistant as we're looking to utilise your passion for contact lenses, equally important are good customer care skills. You’ll combine both to offer a highly professional service that will result in repeat business, increased profitability and an excellent reputation for your store.
Our store
Based in the heart of Shirley, Hampshire, our store is looking for someone with previous contact lens and/or optical experience that is looking to develop and grow.

What we’re looking for?
If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills which include:
- Previous optical or contact lens experience
- Passion for providing excellent customer service and making customers’ lives easier
- Great teamwork and adaptability
- Confidence in using IT systems
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Prepared to step out of your comfort zone and try something new
- Able to receive feedback and be open to development, knowing we’ll be there to support and guide you throughout your process (with your openness and our guidance, your opportunities will be endless).
