About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our Global Product Quality team in Asia.
This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining the quality management system, standards, and protocols that govern product quality across the full value stream. Acting as the upstream driver of quality, the QA Manager focuses on risk prevention through robust system design, ensuring clear frameworks are in place to guide Quality Control execution.
The role defines product standards, testing frameworks, and acceptance criteria, enabling suppliers and internal teams to deliver consistent, compliant, and high-quality outcomes. By strengthening system capability and discipline, this position plays a critical role in preventing defects, improving process capability, and optimising end-to-end quality performance.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Systems, Standards & Governance
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) across the product lifecycle
- Define and maintain product standards, testing protocols, and acceptance criteria
- Develop and govern quality frameworks, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance
- Ensure alignment with international regulatory requirements and internal standards
Upstream Quality & Risk Prevention
- Embed quality requirements into product design, development, and supplier onboarding stages
- Define technical specifications, drawings, samples, and critical quality requirements
- Anticipate and mitigate quality risks through robust system and process design
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure “right first time” quality is built into the process
Supplier Quality Systems
- Establish and govern supplier quality systems, standards, and qualification processes
- Define requirements for process capability, validation, and ongoing compliance
- Guide suppliers on implementing QA expectations, ensuring readiness for QC execution
- Drive continuous improvement of supplier quality systems and capability
CAPA & Continuous Improvement
- Lead structured root cause analysis and CAPA frameworks to strengthen system effectiveness
- Analyse quality data and trends to identify systemic gaps and preventive actions
- Drive improvements that enhance process capability, consistency, and defect prevention
- Ensure learnings are translated into system, standard, and protocol enhancements
Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing QA team
- Build organisational capability in quality systems, standards, and preventive methodologies
- Promote a quality-first, prevention-driven mindset across teams and suppliers
- Support succession planning and capability development within QA
Skills, Ability, and Experience
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Systems within manufacturing or supply chain environments
- Strong expertise in QMS design, implementation, and governance
- Deep understanding of quality standards, protocols, and system-based risk prevention
- Experience defining product specifications, testing frameworks, and acceptance criteria
- Strong knowledge of CAPA, root cause analysis (e.g. 8D, DMAIC)
- Experience in setting up and improving supplier quality systems
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and product safety standards
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence upstream decision-making
- Analytical, structured thinker with a system-level mindset
- Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
- Willingness to travel across Asia
