We foster your expertise, welcome you into a supportive family, and propel your growth. Grounded in our collaboration, curiosity, courage, and compassion values, we strive to challenge the status quo and invite you to team up with us.
To strengthen our Swedish Product team, we're searching for an experienced and service-minded Optical Service Advisor to join our team, supporting stores with expert product guidance and leading key initiatives in contact lens and lens product development.
Your role
As part of the Swedish Product team, you’ll support the execution and ongoing development of our product strategy—with a particular focus on technical product areas such as contact lenses and ophthalmic lenses. In this role, you’ll report directly to the Head of Product and play a vital part in product launches, store support, and cross-functional collaboration across Sweden and Northern Europe.
Your key responsibilities include:
-
Act as an optical advisor to stores, managing technical product queries and supporting end-to-end customer complaint resolution.
-
Coordinate and support ophthalmic and contact lens launches, ensuring smooth implementation across systems, marketing, retail, and learning functions.
-
Provide technical input for marketing and POS materials, price lists, and internal communications.
-
Work with L&D to support training development, ensuring store teams are confident in product knowledge.
-
Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects within the product area for both ophthalmic and contact lenses.
-
Monitor market trends, conduct competitor analysis and mystery shopping, and provide insights to support strategic decisions.
-
Maintain accurate product information and pricing in internal systems (e.g., Navision and PDH) and support IT with input to Navision development/amendments.
-
Support the development of opthalmic and contact lens strategies in collaboration with the Head of Product and NE Contact Lens team.
This role is based at our Swedish support office in Gothenburg but includes frequent travel to stores across Sweden.
Your qualifications
We're seeking a collaborative and solutions-focused team player with a proactive mindset and a genuine interest in supporting our stores with expert product knowledge and service. You bring a positive attitude, strong communication skills in both Swedish and English, and the ability to plan and prioritise your work effectively.
To thrive in this role at Specsavers, you might bring:
-
At least 5 years of experience working in an optical store, with a deep understanding of store operations and customer service needs
-
Hands-on experience with our full product range—including frames, ophthalmic lenses, and contact lenses
-
Proven skills in dispensing ophthalmic lenses and fitting contact lenses
-
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and a willingness to learn and navigate new systems
-
A relevant qualification as a Licensed Optician
On a more personal level, being communicative, organised, and action-oriented is highly valuable in this role, as it will help you support our store teams efficiently, influence outcomes positively, and contribute to continuous improvements in product support and service. Additionally, having strong presentation skills will enable you to effectively convey ideas, engage your audience, and drive key initiatives forward.

When you join Specsavers, you’ll:
-
Become part of a team with friendly, talented, and passionate colleagues.
-
Enjoy a compensation and benefits package matching your qualifications, including wellness allowance, a yearly eye health examination, a subscription to Headspace, and much more. We are of course covered by a collective agreement as well.
-
