Date: 10 Apr 2026

Location: Nordhavn, DK, 2150

Company: Specsavers

Are you passionate about bringing clarity to complex regulations and enabling a safe, compliant tech environment where teams can thrive?
Join Specsavers as our new Technology Compliance Officer and play a key role in safeguarding how we operate across our Northern European markets.

Your role

As our Tech. Compliance Officer, you act as the compliance focal point across Northern Europe — connecting Tech, Legal, Data Protection, and regulators to ensure a unified interpretation of requirements and a coordinated approach to compliance.

You will guide product teams and leadership in understanding regulatory obligations such as NIS2, GDPR, PCI DSS, DORA, and local healthcare and data‑related laws. You’ll help embed compliance into product design, support audits, maintain registers, and ensure that our organisation stays one step ahead of regulatory change. This role is all about creating clarity, building trust, and turning complex frameworks into practical, sustainable ways of working.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as the primary GRC advisor for NE tech teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment on regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and interpret relevant regulations (e.g., NIS2, GDPR, PCI DSS, DORA) and guide the organisation in staying compliant.
  • Lead and coordinate compliance activities, including Compliance Forums, annual compliance cycles, audits, registers, controls, and documentation.
  • Enable and coach product teams to embed compliance and risk management into solution and product design.
  • Maintain the regional risk register and ensure timely follow‑up on mitigation actions and incident‑related reporting.
  • Provide clear reporting to management on compliance status, risks, progress, and regulatory changes.

Your new team

You will join the Technology Backoffice & Retail Infrastructure function and work closely with Tech Product Managers, Legal, Data Protection & Privacy, Group InfoSec, Group Risk, and the NE Strategy, Risk & Architecture teams.

Our Technology organisation operates in a remote‑first setup, but we meet physically every 4–6 weeks for workshops focused on collaboration, problem‑solving, and connection.

What your new manager has to say

We move fast in Northern Europe Technology, and this role supports our product teams by helping them build compliance in from the start - and remain compliant in an ever-changing environment. Acting as a trusted advisor, it allows us to deliver solutions that meet local regulations while staying focused on what matters most: changing lives through better sight and hearing"
