Your role


Specsavers/Louis Nielsen is a retail chain, offering affordable glasses, contact lenses, and hearing aids to everyone. Our many stores across the globe are run by our Partners, who work hard and are dedicated to providing the best service to all our customers. To make sure that our Partners get as much support as possible, our Northern European Support Office has a dedicated Partner Development team.  

  

In this exciting role, you’ll assist our Partner Development team with co-creation and maintenance of all the learning and development content that goes out to our many Partners in the region. This student position is estimated to be 15 hours a week with flexibility to match your study schedule.  

 

Your tasks can vary, depending on the needs and development cycle, however you can expect to work on:

 

  • Assisting in the creation and maintenance of learning content such as training materials for digital and face-to-face trainings as well as online modules. 

  • Help ensure the availability of Partner Development content through our learning platform.  

  • Assisting in communicating and involving stakeholders to ensure alignment with Partner Development concepts and initiatives.  

  • Assisting and enabling local Learning & Development teams to ensure content availability.   

  • Assisting with the follow-up on initiatives, receiving feedback, and measuring performance through relevant KPIs.  

  • Provide regular reports on the progress of initiatives to the Senior Partner Development Manager  

  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks as directed by the Line Manager’s leadership in line with business requirements.

Your qualifications

 

We’re looking to recruit a team member who shares our interest in working in Learning & Development and Retail environments. In this role, your self-motivation and drive will be highly appreciated, and you’ll be encouraged to think broadly and approach development with an open mind.  

 

You are currently studying in the field of educational science, business administration, communication or similar at bachelor or master's level and have at least 1 year left before graduating. 

 

Your experience and education can come from many places, but we do hope that you’ll bring:      

 

  • Experience or interest in working with in-store, online, and classroom training.  

  • Flair for working with systems and maintaining data.  

  • Excellent English writing skills for delivering training content.  

  • Knowledge of MS Office programs, Word, and PowerPoint.  

  • High attention to detail, but at the same time the ability to work with short deadlines.  

  • Experience from working in a matrix organisation or working within an LMS is considered a plus.  

 

How will this role progress? 

 

Within 3 months, you will:   

  • Get to know your new colleagues.  

  • Be onboarded and learn about our company, and our way of working.   

  • Learn about our team and who we closely work with.  

  • Get acquainted with our learning platform and how to work with it.  

  • Support with creation of content on our learning platform.   

  

Within 6-12 months, you are:   

  • Working on the creation of learning content for various topics for partner development.   

  • The expert and go-to person for building engaging modules in our learning platform.  

  • Supporting to keep track of content availability for the local Learning & Development Teams.
