Join Specsavers as our new Martech Product Specialist and play a key role in shaping, refining, and delivering impactful technology solutions across Northern Europe.

Your role

As our Martech Product Specialist, you will play a central role in ensuring that our technology products are understood, refined, and delivered with quality and business value in mind.

You will work closely with Product Owners, developers, architects, and business stakeholders to bridge the gap between business needs and technical delivery. Your focus is to ensure that what we build - or receive from vendors - is fit for purpose, well understood, and aligned with real-world needs.

You are a trusted product expert who brings clarity, structure, and insight into the development process, helping teams make the right decisions and deliver meaningful outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as a subject matter expert on your product(s), including functionality, integrations, and business value. This includes a strong knowledge of CDPs and Consent Management.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements and ensure shared understanding across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, developers, architects, testers, and stakeholders to refine and shape solutions.
  • Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and delivery activities with a focus on clarity and value.
  • Define and validate acceptance criteria and contribute to ensuring solutions meet expectations.
  • Evaluate and validate deliveries from third-party vendors from both technical and business perspectives.
  • Ensure knowledge is documented, accessible, and shared across teams
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance product quality and team ways of working.

Your new team

You’ll join the Northern Europe Technology function, working closely with a Product Manager and cross-functional agile teams.

You will collaborate with colleagues across technology and business functions, as well as external vendors and partners, in a dynamic and international environment. Together, you will ensure that technology solutions support business goals and deliver value across markets.

What are we looking for?

We are preferably looking for someone who has:

  • Strong analytical/data heavy skills and ability to understand complex systems and processes
  • It’s important to note that you will not be hands on in the CDP, but instead, support the marketing teams in identifying opportunities for growth and helping coordinate those improvements.
  • You will however be responsible for the Martech architectural overview and understanding which integrations exist and the impact of making changes to the stack. You will be the expert within the stack and help build out an understanding of costs, integration types etc.
  • Experience working with IT vendors and external development partners.
  • Solid experience with requirement clarification and documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills across different levels.
  • Good understanding of agile ways of working
  • You will work side by side the Martech Product Owner. The Product owner owns the roadmap, you help translate complex Martech initiatives into those roadmaps.

It would be an advantage if you have:

  • Domain knowledge within CDPs, Consent Management and Media Buying.
  • Experience with testing, validation, or quality assurance.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Technical understanding and experience with system documentation.

As a person, we believe that you are:

  • Curious and proactive, with a strong desire to learn and improve
  • Detail-oriented while maintaining a pragmatic approach.
  • A strong collaborator who builds relationships across teams
  • Flexible and adaptable in a changing environment.
