Do you thrive in a role where communication brings people together, creates clarity, and supports real transformation? Join us for a 1‑year parental leave cover and play a key part in engaging colleagues across Northern Europe.
At Specsavers, we're dedicated to making eye and hearing care accessible to all. As pioneers and a global leader in innovative technologies, we help people optimise their vision and hearing. We foster your expertise, welcome you into a supportive family, and propel your growth. Grounded in our collaboration, curiosity, courage, and compassion values, we strive to challenge the status quo and invite you to team up with us.
We're now looking for a Communication Manager to join our Northern Europe Communication team on a 1‑year parental leave cover. In this role, you'll support both our broader internal communication agenda and lead communication for one of our major transformation initiatives — the Blended Experience Programme (BEP).
Your role
As Communication Manager NE, you’ll help ensure our 470+ stores and six support offices stay informed, engaged, and connected.
You’ll plan and deliver some of our most important internal communication moments — from regional meetings and support office updates to leadership communication and key content channels. You’ll ensure messages land effectively, consistently, and with clear purpose.
As part of your role, you’ll drive the communication planning and execution for one of our major transformation journeys across Northern Europe – our Blended Experience Programme (BEP). You’ll collaborate with regional teams, functional leads, and our global communication colleagues to create awareness, alignment, and engagement at every stage.
Your main responsibilities will include:
-
Manage all recurring communication events for our support offices in the region
-
Coordinate and create content for partner communication meetings and store seminars.
-
Support with development of communication tools and training for leaders.
-
Plan and deliver leadership, change, and operational communications for BEP.
-
Produce communication across formats — written materials, presentations, videos, workshops, train‑the‑trainer sessions.
-
Measure communication impact and adjust approaches where needed.
-
Support the broader Communication team on other initiatives.
Your new team
Reporting to our Head of Internal Communication, you’ll join a collaborative, high‑energy Communication team that supports colleagues across all Northern European markets. We work closely with leaders, country communication teams, partners, and transformation specialists — and you’ll become a trusted link between many moving parts.
You’ll be based in our bright Northern European Support office in Copenhagen, with flexible working options and a culture built on warmth, teamwork, and curiosity. Expect a supportive environment where we lift each other up, celebrate creativity, and make communication meaningful.
-
Join our global team of friendly, talented, and passionate colleagues. Enjoy a competitive salary package with perks such as pensions, (health insurance), free eye care vouchers, and more.
-
Grow in your role with free access to online learning, monthly one-on-one discussions with your manager, personalised development plans, and increased responsibility.
-
We offer a fun work environment with great coffee, laughter, table tennis tournaments, birthday surprises, holiday celebrations, virtual Friday quizzes, and more.
Your qualifications
You’ll succeed in this role if you’re structured, confident communicating at all levels, and able to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
We’re looking for someone with:
-
A strong background in internal communication
-
Solid experience in leadership communication as well as change communication
-
Broad experience with communication formats (Teams facilitation, video, presentations, feedback loops, written content)
-
Strong stakeholder management skills
-
Excellent written and spoken English, and a good understanding of the Nordic languages and/or Dutch
-
A university degree in communication or a related field
Additionally, you’re comfortable navigating a complex matrix organisation, communicate confidently with people at all levels, and balance creativity with strong attention to detail. You deliver reliably, tackle blockers proactively, and adapt easily — following established processes while also suggesting smarter, better ways of working.
