As a result of internal development, we are now looking for a new Head of Product for Netherlands to join Specsavers and change lives through better sight and hearing by bringing stellar product performance and quality to our customers.  

 

Your role

The role is responsible for improving product performance and quality, improving style perception and developing the commercial proposition within the country.  The role provides product and commercial expertise in country and on behalf of the country within the Northern Europe Product function.  

 

During your working day you’'ll be: 

    • Leading the country product team and building effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Day to day leadership and development of the Product Technical Officer and Product Administrators.
    • Developing and driving the product part of the integrated trading plan. 
    • Evaluating the product element of the trading plan on an ongoing basis.
    • Providing our Country Director with analysis and data on product performance and profitability and share with regional teams.
    • Providing the Regional Product team with a view of the campaigns and expected sales volume uplift as part of the campaign planning process.
    • Understanding the customer journey and the competitor landscape for the country. 
    • Providing our Regional team with a holistic view of product needs and pricing for the country.
    • Taking an active role in periodic pricing reviews with the region.
    • Sharing regular feedback with the Regional Product team on customer and store reactions to product launches, ideas for new products, and insights to inform future development.
    • Working with our local L&D on local training requirements.
    • Developing Country and Store engagement strategy on product quality and style.
    • Making the Regional Product team aware of training and store engagement needs that are required.
    • Supporting the Country Management Team with product content for CMs and Partner Forums.
    • Representing the Product agenda when required at Country EMTs, CMS and Partner Forum. 

In the role, you'll report directly to the Director of Product Northern Europe, Åsa Bogestrand. Occasional travel in the Northern European region is to be expected in the role.

As Head of Product, you'll become an integral part of the dynamic Product team, collaborating closely with talented colleagues. Our team boasts an impressive collective experience with some members having dedicated many years to Specsavers while others bring fresh perspectives. Our team operates both on-site at the Maarssen Support Offices and embraces hybrid work, offering flexibility.  As our new Head of Product, you'll work at our Dutch support office based in Maarssen in. Your qualifications 

We're seeking an experienced and knowledgeable new colleague for the Head of Product role.     • Excellent understanding of driving a commercial proposition in country

    • Proven ability to lead a small specialist team to deliver multiple priorities
    • Understands the big picture, customer needs, products, partners and their contribution to the bottom line.
    • Ability to communicate excellently across multiple levels of the organisation
    • Open to change and seeks and encourages fresh ideas to meet a dynamic setting.
    • Drives performance by setting clear goals, reviewing performance and developing potential through coaching and feedback.
