Home Visits Trainee Audiology Practitioner

We are looking for a Trainee Audiology Practitioner to join our Home Visits (Domiciliary) team. You will be enrolled onto the Specsavers AP course and will train to completion with full support in place, learning valuable skills such as being able to perform ear wax removals, fit and programme hearing aids, fitting new domes and replace tubes, and then eventually have the chance to move on to other roles within the wider business, such as a Trainee Hearing Aid Dispenser role. Our territory covers Fife, Forth Valley, Bo'ness, Linlithgow, and parts of Cumbernauld. Please note: only candidates who hold a full UK driving licence will be considered for this role.

Our business

Our Home Visits territory covers Fife, Forth Valley, Bo'ness, Linlithgow and parts of Cumbernauld and our preferred candidate will live in either Fife or Forth Valley.

Our cars

A fully expensed company car will be offered for full-time hours or a car allowance of £3000 per annum (car allowance only for part-time hours)

What we’re looking for?  

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and to progress in Audiology with previous experience in a customer-facing setting ideally within healthcare or retail.

Other Requirements

This role is deemed to be regulated activity under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.  An enhanced DBS and barring list check will be required prior to commencement of the role and repeated every 3 years.

While we don’t need you to have a degree or any specific qualifications to enrol on this programme, we do need you to have a few skills to get started here. Firstly, you’ll need to have good written and verbal English skills, so we know you can communicate effectively with our customers and colleagues. You’ll also need to have a keen interest in self-development, desire to further your skills, and then ideally a fluency in use of patient management systems such (but don’t worry if you don’t have that last one). A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
