Senior Data Delivery Manager - Migration

We’re now hiring a Senior Data Delivery Manager to lead the creation and execution of our strategic data migration service. Our technology platforms support over 10 million eyesight and hearing test appointments annually, and our e-commerce capabilities are central to customer retention and revenue growth. As part of our digital transformation, we’re building a seamless, blended customer experience—both in-store and online. You’ll join our Delivery and Project Management Office (PMO), a centre of excellence that empowers data delivery teams, standardises practices, and ensures alignment across our value streams. This role is not just about managing projects—it’s about leading the delivery of strategic data outcomes that underpin Specsavers’ long-term vision.

In this senior role, you’ll be responsible for defining and delivering the new data migration service. You’ll lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-vendor projects, working closely with data engineering, architecture, and third-party partners to ensure high-quality, timely, and value-driven outcomes. You’ll be the driving force behind iterative delivery, stakeholder engagement, and strategic alignment—negotiating scope, timelines, and budgets with senior leaders, and ensuring that every initiative delivers measurable business value.

You’ll bring a proven track record of leading large-scale data migration programmes, ideally with experience in data delivery within matrixed organisations. You’ll be confident navigating both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and adept at managing risk, dependencies, and capacity across multiple teams. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering collaboration, driving simplification, and ensuring compliance with GDPR and internal standards. With a grasp of technologies like Azure SQL DB, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI, you’ll align technical delivery with enterprise architecture and regulatory requirements.
