Property Maintenance Manager
Date: Jul 27, 2026
Location: Fareham, ENG, GB, PO15 7PA
Company: Specsavers
Do you enjoy building relationships, solving problems and making a real difference?
We're looking for a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance activity across our UK & ROI retail estate, ensuring our stores remain safe, compliant and operationally efficient. This is an opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders, influence decision-making and help shape the future of our estate. It's a field-based position with regular travel across the UK and ROI, along with visits to Cirrus House in Nottingham when required. You'll spend time out in the business, building relationships, supporting stakeholders and gaining a first-hand understanding of the challenges and opportunities across our stores.
No two days will look the same. One day you could be working with Partners and Business Development Managers to resolve a complex maintenance issue. The next, you might be meeting with suppliers to review performance, identifying recurring defects across the estate, or supporting a major incident to ensure stores can continue operating with minimal disruption. You'll lead a team of Maintenance Coordinators and oversee both planned and reactive maintenance activity across the estate. You'll also be responsible for managing supplier relationships, driving performance, monitoring service levels and ensuring maintenance requests are resolved effectively and efficiently. A big part of the role is working collaboratively with colleagues across Business Development, Property Services, Procurement, Finance and Insurance, as well as our Joint Venture Partners. You'll become a trusted point of contact, providing expert advice and bringing people together to find practical solutions.
We're looking for someone with experience in maintenance or facilities management who thrives on building strong relationships and making things happen.
You'll be comfortable managing contractors and suppliers, challenging performance when needed and using data and insight to drive continuous improvement. You'll also enjoy working with a broad range of stakeholders and have the confidence to influence, support and guide others. Most importantly, you'll understand that great maintenance management is about people as much as property. Success in this role comes from creating strong partnerships, earning trust and delivering an excellent service to colleagues, Partners and suppliers across the business.
If you're looking for a role where you can combine leadership, stakeholder management and operational expertise while making a visible impact across a national estate, we'd love to hear from you.
Join us and help create the best possible environment for our stores, Partners, colleagues and customers across the UK and ROI.
This role closes on 7th Aug 2026; however, we may close the advert sooner if we get high-volume applications.
