Functional SME

Are you an expert in Infor M3 CloudSuite Distribution who loves being at the centre of how technology enables real business outcomes? At Specsavers, we’re looking for a Functional SME to join our Distribution Product Team and play a key role in shaping, evolving, and optimising our M3 CloudSuite Distribution platform.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on deep functional ownership and enjoys being the go‑to expert. You’ll sit at the heart of our Supply Chain and Distribution capabilities working closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure our M3 solutions are robust, scalable, and genuinely aligned to how the business operates.

In this role, you’ll bring strong domain expertise across distribution and supply chain processes, including customer orders, purchasing, inventory, warehousing, pricing, and product lifecycle management. You’ll translate real business needs into high‑quality functional designs, configuration choices, and product enhancements, helping to shape the roadmap and continuously improve how our distribution technology supports the end‑to‑end value chain.

You’ll be hands‑on and influential. From configuring and optimising M3 CloudSuite Distribution modules to supporting solution design workshops, prototyping new functionality, and refining user stories, you’ll ensure solutions are well thought through and fit for scale. You’ll work closely with technical teams on integrations using ION, APIs, and middleware, making sure solutions align with WMS operating models, integration patterns, and performance expectations.

Quality and usability matter here. You’ll lead on functional testing, defining scenarios, scripts, and test data supporting UAT and ensuring feedback from users is quickly turned into improvements. You’ll also act as an escalation point for complex functional issues, helping diagnose root cause, driving resolution, and identifying opportunities for longer‑term system or process improvements.
