FSS Analyst - Nottingham

Date: 8 Sept 2026

Location: Fareham, ENG, GB, PO15 7PA

Company: Specsavers

At Specsavers, we're on a mission to change lives through better sight and hearing, and behind that mission is a team that ensures our services are billed accurately and efficiently. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced billing professional to play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of our finance operations, helping us deliver outstanding value while providing an exceptional service to colleagues, partners and external stakeholders.

Working within our Audiology Billing team, you'll support the full NHS billing cycle, with responsibilities varying throughout the month. From validating and analysing billing data, through pricing and contract validation, to producing data submissions for NHS Integrated Care Boards and generating invoices, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of financial and analytical activities. You'll also support payment processes for our stores, investigate billing discrepancies, reconcile accounts, calculate accruals, deferred income and commission payments, and contribute to the continuous improvement of billing processes and systems.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with NHS stakeholders while acting as a central link between multiple teams across and outside Finance. You'll develop valuable skills in data validation, data analysis and stakeholder management, working with large and complex data sets that directly support the delivery of our audiology services.

To succeed, you'll bring previous finance and billing experience, ideally within an Accounts Receivable environment, alongside strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You'll be confident manipulating and validating large volumes of data using Excel, with strong capabilities across pivot tables, lookups, formulas and Index Match functions. Just as importantly, you'll have excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach, strong attention to detail, and a naturally curious mindset. You'll feel comfortable questioning data that doesn't look right and working with stakeholders to identify and resolve issues.

When you join Specsavers, you'll become part of a brilliant, supportive team that makes the day-to-day enjoyable while helping you develop your career. Whether you're looking to strengthen your analytical expertise, gain greater exposure to NHS finance processes or apply skills gained if working towards professional qualifications such as AAT, this role provides plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.  With clear progression, it's an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within Finance.

If you're looking for a rewarding role where your expertise will be valued, your development supported, and your contribution truly matters, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and help us continue changing lives through better sight and hearing.
