Employment Tax Analyst - Hybrid in Whiteley or Notts
Date: 19 Jun 2026
Location: Fareham, ENG, GB, PO15 7PA
Company: Specsavers
Hybrid in either our Notts or Whiteley office, 1 day a week onsite.
Join a purpose-led organisation that’s genuinely transforming lives through better sight and hearing.
At Specsavers, you’ll be part of a close-knit team of three, working at the heart of the business to protect and enhance how employment taxes are managed across the UK and wider jurisdictions. This is more than a technical role, it’s an opportunity to shape compliance, influence processes, and ensure that colleagues across the business can confidently deliver payroll, benefits and reward in line with ever-evolving legislation.
As an Employment Tax Analyst, you’ll quickly become a trusted expert, partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to identify risks, provide clear advice and drive improvements. From reviewing payroll submissions and benefits reporting to overseeing compliance checks such as NMW and contractor engagements, your work will have tangible impact. You’ll also contribute to drafting guidance, supporting audits, and managing relationships with tax authorities, ensuring the business operates within a robust and compliant framework while maintaining exceptional standards.
We’re looking for someone with strong UK employment tax experience, whether gained in-house or within professional services, who thrives on solving complex problems and turning insight into action. Your ability to interpret legislation, conduct detailed compliance reviews, and implement practical improvements will set you apart. You’ll be highly organised, confident managing multiple priorities, and comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll be providing clear, practical advice and training to non-tax specialists, while also handling enquiries and audits with professionalism and credibility. Qualifications such as ATT, CTA or CIPP (or equivalent experience) will support your success, alongside analytical strengths such as advanced Excel skills and ideally exposure to systems like SAP.
If you’re motivated by working in a collaborative, high-impact environment where your expertise is valued and your voice truly heard, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of technical areas, from IR35 and salary sacrifice, benefits and expenses, to ROI tax matters, - while contributing to a function that plays a critical role in the business. Bring your curiosity, attention to detail and passion for doing things the right way, and you’ll find a role that’s both challenging and genuinely rewarding.
This role closes on 3rd July 2026. Don't delay your application, apply now – you'll be glad you did.
