Supply Chain Finance supports the Supply Chain business in ensuring that the needs of all Retail territories are met, whilst maintaining a Financial and Risk equilibrium between Group, Partners and Customers. We ensure robust risk and governance policies and procedures are in place and adhered to and are to ensure Group accounting policy and compliance is followed. We provide financial visibility and insight on business performance and critical decision-making support.

 

Your purpose

 

As a member of the Supply Chain Board and Supply Chain Operating Board, this role provides decision making support, challenge and leadership to senior business leaders across all Supply Chain teams, alongside connecting with our global Commercial teams to ensure financial equilibrium is considered in all decision making.  Accountable for all financial & statutory matters, strong financial performance management, governance, controls & risk management across the Supply Chain. Responsible for leading a global finance team ensuring robust financial procedures, in line with Group policy, are in place and ensuring all budgeting and forecasting requirements are met. The role requires leading and developing teams covering Finance Control, FP&A and Finance Business Partnering. Responsible for ensuring technology systems support financial information flows in a robust and controlled manner.

 

Your role

 

  • Accountable for the consolidated Supply Chain annual finance planning, budgeting and forecast (including Opportunity & Risk) processes, ensuring timely and high-quality insights are provided to the Supply Chain Board and Group FP&A.
  • Finance Decision support and business partnering for all Supply Chain BAU, Projects & Strategies. This includes:
    • Challenging Supply Chain leaders and teams to ensure financial outcomes of all activities are appropriately considered and understood.
    • Delivering data driven analytics and insight to drive BAU, project and strategic decision making across all SC Functions
    • Leads & owns the financial integrity of investment business cases, strategic Initiatives, inflation mitigation and efficiency initiatives
  • Leads & owns the Supply Chain data strategy in conjunction with Group Technology data teams.
  • Leads and owns the Finance elements of all Supply Chain IT / Technical systems and projects.
  • Responsible for Supply Chain management accounts including month and year end deliverables and reporting, ensuring delivery in an effective and timely manner.
  • Responsible for ensuring Supply Chain elements of external audit are supported to ensure an efficient year end audit globally.
  • Accountable for ensuring a robust internal controls framework to ensure the integrity of transfer pricing, spend and invoice pricing.
  • Responsible for ensuring Supply Chain performance is understood by the regional Commercial teams, ensuring key drivers of performance are monitored and understood.
  • Working with Leaders around the Supply Chain, identifying and delivering efficiency opportunities and responses to minimise risks.
  • Leadership and development of direct reports and wider team to drive performance and individual development.

 

What you’ll bring

 

Essential skills:

 

  • Fully Qualified Accountant with extensive PQE.
  • Accomplished Leader with proven people leadership experience.
  • Proven ability in Commercial Finance business partnering, demonstrating objectivity, positive challenge and commercial oversight.
  • Proven track record of delivering change that has enhanced business performance (Leadership, people, systems and process).
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills (both verbal and written) in order to land key messages.
  • Ability to challenge others’ thinking in a constructive and supportive way.
  • Gravitas and confidence in challenging senior leadership effectively.  Assertive when required but with the ability to influence and bring others along with them.
  • Prepared to speak directly to others about issues affecting results.
  • Curiosity to ask probing questions to get to the root of a problem or to identify alternative ways of doing things.

Desirable skills:

 

  • Experience working in a global manufacturing and distribution environment.
  • Experience of transfer price regulations and international trade considerations.
