At Specsavers, we’re passionate about helping our people build rewarding careers through learning and development. As an Apprentice Coach, you’ll play a key role in supporting apprentices to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to succeed in their roles. This is a fixed term contract for up to 13 months.
You’ll manage a caseload of up to 30 apprentices, delivering engaging one-to-one coaching sessions, both virtually and face-to-face. From creating individual learning plans and reviewing workplace learning, to providing regular feedback and support, you’ll help learners stay motivated and on track. You’ll work closely with store Partners, managers and colleagues across the apprenticeship team, ensuring apprentices receive the guidance they need, develop key occupational skills and are fully prepared for the next stage of their programme. Supporting maths and English development where required will also form an important part of the role.
We’re looking for someone with experience in optics, who has a genuine passion for coaching and developing others. Strong communication and relationship building skills are essential, along with the ability to influence, support and motivate people from a range of backgrounds. You’ll be organised, proactive and comfortable managing your own diary, balancing priorities and working towards agreed timescales and targets. Confidence using Microsoft Office is also a key skill. A clean driving licence and the ability to drive and travel regionally is essential.
In return, you’ll join a supportive team that is committed to developing future talent across the business. This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference, helping apprentices gain valuable skills, build confidence and progress in their careers. If you enjoy helping people succeed and are looking for a role where you can combine your optical experience with your passion for coaching, we’d love to hear from you.
