Team Summary

Working collaboratively with global teams and business partners, Asia finance team manages all financial operations and performance for Asia-Pacific hub, driving procurement and supply chain efficiency and ensuring the compliance of accounting and taxation for business sustainability.

 

Role Summary

Based in Hong Kong, this is a critical business role for our Asia-Pacific hub, which is accountable for business partnering with regional leaders to enable effective operational and strategic decision making.  A ‘go to’ role for all business stakeholders across our Global Supply Chain, which uses its in-depth and broad knowledge of the business to support, challenge, and facilitate critical business thinking, and the development of robust business cases.  In addition to the analysis and insight this role is highly technical that can mine large data sets, leading the development, maintenance and control of the data warehouse, providing tools for different stakeholders to self-serve.

 

The Role

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Business analysis and business partnering

  • Lead Asia FP&A team ensuring collaboration with business partners driving business development and continuous improvement
  • In-charge of the management reports and KPI management, identifying trends and patterns and raising them with the relevant leadership
  • Identify business opportunities and improvement areas in operational efficiency and propose action plans, working alongside the relevant teams to support in the delivery of them
  • Drive the forecast and annual budget process in conjunction with the overall Supply Chain plan
  • Present findings to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and actionable recommendations

 

Operational Data 

  • Lead the development and maintenance of the data warehouse
  • Continuously develop the business intelligence tools and develop methods and financial models
  • Drive efficiency of regular finance tasks through automation and streamlining of processes

 

Operational Control

  • Accountable for developing the business case and financial modelling for business change, ensuring effective commercial analysis and tracking is in place
  • Responsible for ensuring the operational risk management processes are in place and available to the relevant leadership

 

Business Partnership

  • A key partnership role within the Asia Finance Team, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support them in the development and management of their plans
  • A supporting role for the Finance Leadership in region, able to step into a variety of situations as demanded by the role
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide financial advice and guidance

 

People Management

  • Lead FP&A sub-team under Asia Finance.
  • Manage performance of sub-ordinate, provide coaching assistance as required
  • Prioritise tasks within the team and direct appropriate resources

 

 

Essential Skills Ability or Experience

  • University graduate major in Accounting and Commerce
  • Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting
  • Able to tailor communication and presentation of analysis based on audience need.  A skilled communicator bringing simplicity to highly complex information
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to details and high curiosity
  • Adaptable, embracing, and supportive to change
  • Able to build strong relationships and trustworthy with sensitive information
  • Capable of managing conflicting priorities to achieve deadlines whilst working in a fast-paced environment
  • Pro-active, problem-solving attitude with growth mindset

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Qualified CMA/CPA is preferred
  • Previous experience of manufacturing or supply chain environments is an advantage
  • Previous experience of working within a global international organisation
