Your role
As our Partner Development Manager, you will be the ambassador and advocate for the Partner Development agenda and the key enabler for Norway on the Partner Development agenda. You will play a key role in elevating Partners’ leadership capabilities, integrating leadership theories into their daily business operations. By enhancing the leadership skills of current and future Partners and ensuring successful store management through impactful leadership training, you will foster a network of skilled Partners for Specsavers' long-term success.
Your primary tasks and responsibilities include:

Lead Partner Development initiatives within the country, ensuring full alignment with the NESO regional strategy.

Plan, organize, and deliver leadership development training sessions to ensure impactful learning experiences.

Manage and oversee the training lifecycle, including scheduling, organizing, and post-training evaluations.

Provide feedback to the Partner Development team regarding business needs and areas for program improvement.

Assist countries in developing a strategic talent pipeline, identifying and nurturing potential future Partners.

Support the NESO team in assessing Partner candidates who wish to join the business.

Foster a people-first leadership culture among Partners and stakeholders, measuring and reporting on the impact of leadership development initiatives.

Visit Partners regularly to understand their challenges and provide guidance and support when needed
This role involves significant travel, with weekly trips within the country to visit Partners and provide training sessions, guidance and support. Additionally, there will be occasional trips to Copenhagen to align with NESO stakeholders train future partners.
Your new team
As our new Partner Development Manager, you’ll report directly to the Head of Partner Development, Northern Europe. You’ll become an essential part of the vibrant Partner Development team, working closely with talented colleagues and various stakeholders, including the Regional Retail Manager (RRM), retail team, and other departments. You’ll also maintain a strong connection with the Head of Store Operations.

Your qualifications
We're seeking an excellent facilitator with outstanding presentation and communication skills, ready to find creative solutions and take ownership of leadership development success.
To thrive in this role at Specsavers, you should meet the following requirements:

Strong background in Learning & Development, with experience in both classroom and virtual training.

Previous experience in retail training environments.

Proven ability to work in a matrix organization with strong stakeholder management skills.

Expertise in adapting leadership models to retail and business contexts.

Strong commercial acumen, understanding the challenges faced by Partners and how leadership influences business performance.

Ability to balance regional and local priorities for effective execution.

On the more personal side, we value individuals who are empathetic, approachable, and able to build strong, supportive relationships with Partners and stakeholders.
Your development
Within 3 months, you’ll:

Receive a structured onboarding to help you settle into the role and get to know your colleagues across the business.

Build a solid understanding of the Partner Development Offer, including the training elements, and stakeholders.

Start contributing to the rollout plan for Partner training in your country, ensuring it aligns with regional frameworks.
Within 6-12 months, you:

Take ownership of the Partner Development agenda in your country, ensuring it supports business priorities and Partner growth.

Navigate and work effectively within our matrix organisation, developing strong relationships across functions and markets.

Establish yourself as the go-to expert for leadership development for current and future Partners.

Deliver training sessions regularly to Partners and provide structured feedback to the Support Office, helping to continuously improve the development offer and better support Partner growth.
