To strengthen our Finance team, we're searching for a Accountant who will support day-to-day financial operations, contribute to month-end closings, and help ensure accurate and compliant accounting practices across our Norwegian business. 

 

Your role 

 

As our new Accountant, you’ll support accurate financial operations and compliance with Norwegian accounting legislation, playing a key role in strengthening financial control across Specsavers Norway. 

 

You’ll report to the Accounting Manager and work closely with colleagues across finance and operations. 

 

Key responsibilities include: 

 

  • Handling invoicing and follow-up wits current internal projects 

  • Registering incoming invoices and controlling auto-uploaded data in the finance system 

  • Following up on unpaid invoices and responding to store inquiries via email and phone 

  • Managing accounts receivable and payable, including collections 

  • Supporting monthly closing tasks, journal entries, and reconciliations 

  • Contributing to internal cost control and B2B invoicing 

  • Collaborating with the team to improve processes and assisting during peak periods and holidays

Your qualifications 

 

We’re looking for someone who is analytical, proactive, and ready to take ownership while working collaboratively. To succeed in this role at Specsavers, we believe you bring: 

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or similar 

  • 2-3 years of experience from a comparable role 

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial control 

  • Hands-on experience with accounting systems and maintaining financial records 

  • Familiarity with period-end processes, including profit & loss and balance sheet 

  • Exposure to year-end procedures and audit processes 

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal 

  • A structured, detail-oriented approach 

  • Flexibility and a collaborative mindset
