Optometrist

Specsavers in the Gyle Centre, Edinburgh are looking for an Optometrist to join their well-established and successful team. Whether you're newly qualified or have years of experience, we want to hear from you. This is a full-time role worked over 4 days on a rotating 4-week working pattern to ensure flexibility and work-life balance. Over the 4 weeks you will only work 3 weekend days (2 Saturdays and 1 Sunday) meaning you will have 2 full weekends off per month with one of these being a long weekend, Friday to Monday.

Following a successful relocation in November 2024, we are based in The Gyle Shopping Centre and our store features 7 tests rooms, all fully equipped with the latest clinical technology and Nidek equipment. The store partners are leading the way for clinical and professional progression, making the Gyle Centre the perfect place to advance your career as they will support you through Professional Certificates or if you would like to be a director yourself one day, they are best placed to support you with this journey. Our store is an approved IP provider meaning you can complete your clinical placement in store - we currently have 7 IP Optometrists in store with a further 2 completing the course, could you be the next?

There are multiple experienced Optometrists within the store, who will be on hand to help you settle in and with a team of Contact Lens Opticians, Dispensing Opticians, and experienced Optical Assistants everyone is in place to allow you to do what you do best.

There is free parking and we are also accessible using public transport.

• Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience
