About the store
Specsavers in Crayford first opened its doors in February 2022 so still has the look and feel of a brand-new store. It is located in a flagship Sainsbury's store which is the 3rd largest in the country. There are 3 test rooms, one of which offers audiology services 5 days of the week, serving as a spoke store to Tunbridge Wells’ Hub.
A team of 10 dedicated colleagues call this store home including 2 nearly qualified pre-regs, 2 supervisors and 2 part-time optoms. The existing Retail Partner is also a qualified DO and is based in the store full time. They offer enhanced clinical services including cataract pre and post op care, Dry eye clinics and eye pressure monitoring.

Store location
The store is located in the large Sainsburys Superstore where there is plenty of free parking. Crayford has its own greyhound stadium, just round the corner from the store as well as plenty of shops and restaurants in the high street and nearby Tower Retail Park.
There are excellent transport links, with a train station only 10 minutes’ walk from the store where you can catch a train to London in less than 30 minutes and access to the M25 is nearby.
Requirements of the role
Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, you will have the drive, passion and willingness to maintain the customer-focused culture and the high standards of this successful store. As the new Optometry Partner, you’ll be able to provide a unique blend of customer care and professional excellence. You’ll be able to build a rapport with the existing team, demonstrate excellent attention to detail and possess an ability to build strong relationships within the local community.
