Your role
As our Clinical Performance Consultant (CPC), you'll be part of a team working continuously with implementation of improvements in the clinical area for partners and their team(s).
Your primary tasks and responsibilities include, but not be limited to:
- Work with partners and their teams to implement change and improvements in the clinical journey
- Work with partners and Regional Managers to enhance daily clinical operation, performance and safety.
- Utilise clinical and incidence reporting to identify training needs and focus areas for partners and stores.
- Work closely with Head of Professional Advancement, partners, Regional Managers, and local field support teams in malpractice cases.
- Support clinical development projects.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Performance Lead in Northern Europe, and other Northern European CPC teams on clinical quality, performance, and clinical risk.
- Identify common training needs and support the development of processes and tools in collaboration with the larger Northern European CPC team.
- Participate in CPC seminars, training sessions and relevant professional conferences.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development functions on store-facing clinical training sessions, optometrist coaching, clinical learning development and proof-reading of clinical learning materials.
- Be a part of and collaborate with the rest of the local Field Support Team.
In this role, you'll report directly to the Head of Professional Advancement. Three days of travelling per week is to be expected in the role.
Your new team
As the CPC, you'll work closely with the Head of Professional Advancement for the Netherlands and the Dutch CPC team and collaborating closely with talented colleagues in the Netherlands and in the Northern Europe organization. Your focus will be in field support giving clinical support to our stores and partners across the country.

Your qualifications
We’re seeking a qualified optometrist or qualified optician and contact lens specialist (gediplomeerd opticien en contactlens specialist) for this role with both a clinical and a commercial mindset and an interest in change management.
Therefore, to fulfil this role should be able to recognise yourself in these requirements:
- Professional qualification as an optometrist or an experienced contact lens specialist (gediplomeerd opticien en contactlensspecialist).
- Skilled and experienced in the field.
- Ability to influence others through coaching and leading by example.
- Clinical and commercial mindset.
- Support working in a person-centred way.
- Proficient in English and Dutch.
Advantageous, but not mandatory:
- Experience with change management in a current or former position.
On a more personal level, we see being structured, proactive and comfortable operating in new situations and risk aware as a clear advantage in this role.
Your development
Within 3 months, you’ll:
- Be onboarded and introduced to stores and your extended team.
- Gain understanding of Specsavers customer journey and clinical guidelines.
- Support/work on CPC plan.
Within 6-12 months, you:
- Run CPC plan for your selected stores.
- Understand how to improve the clinical level in stores.
- Can be the go-to-person for clinical questions.
- Deliver CPC plan.
