Salary: Salary up to £65,000 + £10,000 joining bonus (terms apply) (depending on experience)

A rare opportunity is now available for a Lead Optometrist to join Specsavers in Birkenhead, just 4 miles west of Liverpool. We are looking for a Lead Optometrist, where alongside testing you'll take on additional responsibilities. You will have an input into the making of key business decisions within the practice whilst keeping up to date with the latest trends in Optometry to ensure the practice maintains it’s reputation for being at the forefront of clinical care, keeping our close-knit Team informed, mentored, and developed. Our Optometrists are an integral part of our store management team, so we’re keen to get you up to speed outside the test room too. With ILM courses, Pre-Reg supervision and the Specsavers Partnership scheme (Pathway) all available to explore. Along with your clinical expertise – this will stand you in good stead if you choose to become a store director yourself one day.

A short 8 minute drive from the centre of Liverpool and you enter the beautiful location of Birkenhead. Filled with countryside views along with coastline beaches, this town has a great mix of both city and outdoor lifestyle. Situated in the North Eastern part of the Wirral and offers many things to visit and explore and is serviced by excellent road and rail links.
The Stena Line ferry from Belfast to Liverpool offers a direct link from Northern Ireland to the heart of England on the Stena Edda and the Stena Embla. The crossing time is approximately 8 hours with a choice of both day and night sailings.
