As a Home Visits Optical Assistant, you’ll ensure the delivery of a high quality professional service to patients in their own homes and in some care home settings.  You must have high standards of dispensing and customer care, in short, you will make sure every customer has a great experience with us.

Our Business 

You’ll be providing care to vulnerable patients in their own homes across our territory in Aberdeen, Thurso, Wick and the Isle of Skye, so our ideal candidate will be based in Aberdeen. Please note that there will be overnight stays away from home required in this role.

What we’re looking for?  

If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as a Home Visits Optical Assistant. These include:   

  • Previous optical experience (at least 6 months' - 1 year), and you must be able to confidently dispense at all levels, measure and fit
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence and be a confident driver

Other Requirements

  • This is role is deemed to be regulated activity under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.  An enhanced DBS and barring list check will be required prior to commencement of the role and repeated every 3 years.
